Cordwainer is edited from a live multitrack session, recorded in the summer of 2021. The session took place in the historic Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts located in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood. It is the final Cobblers with Heart recording session before the duo of David B Collins (modular synthesizer) and Paul Westfahl (percussion, electronics) were separated by over 2000 miles (David moved to Oregon).
